In our part of the world, summer came early and with a vengeance--we're hitting at least 105 every day with no relief in sight. I used to bitch about the heat until I decided the best way to deal with it was to defeat it--stay outside as much as possible and embrace it. Kinda works until about the end of August when you begin to say, "Goddamn it, enough!" at another scorcher. Anyway, enough about weather. Here's the lovely, Sara who has agreed to help refocus your concentration:

Buddy of mine played golf with the former president a week or so ago up in Waco. Like you, he embraces the Texas heat, telling his playing partners that he opts to tee off just after lunch. The photos he posted at his website reflected a Bush you don't often see. While everyone else was decked out in expensive golf threads, W sported a Crawford Pirates State Champs ball cap, plain ol' khaki shorts--I do mean plain, too--and a non-descript shirt designed to soak up sweat.
Upon second inspection of the photos, I do believe that W was sporting Jay-Mar sansbelt shorts.
W shot an 85. Sandbagging son of a bitch!
