As always, it's staggering to consider the responsibility given to young men (here a 24 year old lieutenant is running the war in this part of the country). This isn't a new thing--there were a helluva lot of young bucks who were generals in the Civil War and even a few in WWII, I think (fact check, anyone?). I know that Tom Landry flew a shitload of bomber missions over Germany as a young twenty something. Anyway, we've got some good men over there right now trying to root out the goat and boy molesting Taliban. God speed to them.

Good article. If we housed Taliban and Al Qaeda prisoners like that, we'd be accused of torture.
