Salinger.....Dead.




Salinger finally kicked the bucket. Here's a pretty good obit by the WSJ:

Not a surprise to anyone what a strange, miserable old bastard he was. Still, "Catcher" stands as a great read and you could hear that voice in a lot of later writers. Hell, the cadre of kickassers at National Lampoon during it's 1970-1980 heyday channelled him perfectly.
