Ever been in one? Based on my limited exposure, I think this article is largely accurate: http://www.theonion.com/content/news/difficult_to_tell_if_t_j_maxx_hit.
Shopping is horrible. I recently went to Dillard's--they were having one of those "50% off lowest priced marked" sales, essentially giving away tons of swag otherwise destined for future garage sales. I observed pathetic shells of men being led around by their wives, hoping to properly dress the hulking twit who insists on wearing the same pants every day along with the "casual" shoes he snagged from the American Legion catalogue eight years ago. You know, the ones with the Velcro straps in "taupe" or some other institutional color.
I was there simply looking for a nice mesh thong. Maybe in ecru.
Please note that the young lady at the above right does not work at T.J. Maxx or Dillard's. Save yourself the trip.

I've driven past several, walked past a few, and maybe even looked in the window of a couple, but I can say with all confidence that I have never entered one.
I've heard rumors and legends, however, that sound eerily like that story.
