I like the term dysphoria used in this article. I think it usefully described several common causes of moodiness:
alopecia dysphoria: baldness
interruptus dysphoria: premature cancellation
limptoid dysphoris: there are drugs to treat this
pecuniary dysphoria: excessive uncontrollable outgo (especially for married men)
There are doubtless many others, some more insidious.
