Coordinated Universal Time

Since you're going to have to be resetting all of your clocks and watches, they may as well be right. Here's the link to official U.S. time per the atomic clock at the U.S. Naval Observatory in Washington, D.C. This link is for the Central Time Zone. It may be a bit slow for a day or two with heavy traffic:

I personally do not understand the value of this. As long as my clocks and watches are within an hour or so of the correct time, I find no need for further synchronization.

That's probably very true in Mayberry. Or as they say in the Caribbean - "Island Time". If you're going to meet someone at a specified time, it could easily be 30 minutes or more later with no hurt feelings.

Taras Bulba runs a tight ship around here. You're expected to post on time, everytime. Lives could be lost, careers ruined, etc., etc. if you don't know the exact time.

Time flies like an arrow.

Fruit flies like a banana.

I might also add that I've seen Taras Bulba beat a blogger senseless with a branding iron for being late. After the beating, he turned to the blog members and muttered something like, "I hate tardiness in a man, I won't tolerate it..." and walked off.

I had a watch stop on me yesterday. I can't stand a quitter.

Very ironic. I had stop watch on me yesterday couldn't stand the starter.
