Mick Foley, former WWE champ (aka "Mankind") thinks "The Wrestler" (discussed last month in this blog) does a pretty good job in its depiction of the pro wrestling world and that Rourke is pretty impressive: http://www.slate.com/id/2207076/. Foley is also an author and apparently supportive of Democratic politics, according to wikipedia.
I took in "Slumdog Millionaire" the other night. Some critics are labeling it their "movie of the year." It's worth seeing and interesting, but if this is what the industry is cranking out as worthy of best of the year then, uh well, Hollywood: call your fricking office.
